Gift Tags Galore- Daring Cardmakers Challenge

Hello and Happy Friday!

Welcome back to my blog for another new challenge and its called:

                       GIFT TAGS GALORE

This weeks challenge has been set by DT member Dawn and she says, "I have found that making my own gift tags adds that personal touch to your gifts and its also a great way of using up any little pieces of decorative paper.  So this week I would love to see your pretty gift tags."

I created a tag for my friend just to remind her how much she means to me and also to go with the box of goodies I was sending her. I had some left over inky backgrounds and decided to use them up and create some tags. The tag was die cut using a Daisy Mae die set called Nested Torn Edge Tags. I added some details using an Aallandcreate stencil. To create interest I also  added some left over die cuts and some washi tape. I stamped and coloured in one of Janet Kleins little girls from the Lil Love stamp set. The friendship sentiment is also from Aallandcreate stamps by Olga. To finish it off I threaded some twine through the top of the tag and created a small tassel at the end.

I hope you enjoyed my take on this weeks challenge. Show us some of your creations and don't forget to share on the Daring Cardmakers blog or our Facebook page Daring Cardmakers Create and Share.
Thank you so much for stopping by and I wish you all a very happy weekend. Check out all the inspiration from the DT over on the Daring Cardmakers blog https://daringcardmakers.blogspot.com

Splish Splash- Daring Cardmakers Challenge

Good morning and welcome back to my blog!

Today I'm back with another Daring Cardmakers Challenge and this weeks challenge is called

SPLISH SPLASH

Make a water themed card splash around swimming or bathing- or create a splishy splashy background using inks or sprays.

For my card I kept it clean and simple and let the sentiment stand out. So I die cut some of the background layers and stamped my sentiment on to the top layer. I stamped an umbrella and coloured it using my alcohol markers and then fussy cut it. I stamped some raindrops around the sentiment and coloured them in. I placed the umberella using foam pads onto my card and added some white dots using a gel pen. To finish it off I added some sparkle using my sparkle pens.

I hope you enjoyed my take on this weeks challenge. Show us some of your creations and don't forget to share on the Daring Cardmakers blog or our Facebook page Daring Cardmakers Create and Share.

Its all in the background. Daring Cardmakers Challenge.

Hello and welcome back to my blog.

I've not blogged for the last two weeks and it seems like ages. Its been a tough few weeks as we lost our Aunt to cancer. We're never prepared for these things and it sure does take a toll on our emotions, so today I am trying to get back to creating and being kind to myself. The Daring Cardmakers have a new challenge this week and it's all about backgrounds being the main focus on your card.

I always have some pre-prepared backgrounds as it saves a lot of time. I usually create a fair few backgrounds while I have all of my inks and sprays out. It certainly pays off when you need to create something quickly. This background was also created recently and seems to fit perfectly with the challenge. I have used distress oxides to create this background and an Aall and Create stencil and stamps to add interest. I stamped and coloured one of the houses from Janet Klein's stamp sets and added the cloud and sentiment from some of her other sets. I added some washi tape to the base of the house so it looked like a path. To finish it off I added some sparkle using a sparkle pen.

I hope you enjoyed my take on this weeks challenge. Show us some of your creations and don't forget to share on the Daring Cardmakers blog or our Facebook page Daring Cardmakers Create and Share.
