In The Garden- Daring Cardmakers Challenge

Good Morning and Happy Friday!
Welcome back to my blog for another new Daring Cardmakers Challenge. This weeks challenge is set by DT member Shabneez and its called:

In The Garden!

Shabneez would like to see your creations with something from the garden, window-box, windowsill or maybe the garden of your dreams.

I decided to create a card with potted plants and herbs as I don't have a garden, but I have lots of potted plants outside and around the the house. I am not very green-fingered but I can manage small plants that don't need much attention.
So for my card I decided to use my potted herb stamps and coloured them with promarkers. I then matted the stamped image on to some coordinating card-stock along with my sentiment. It's a simple and clean card that didn't take long to make.

I really hope you enjoyed your visit here today and are inspired to create your own garden masterpieces.
Show us some of your creations and don't forget to share on the Daring Cardmakers blog or our Facebook page Daring Cardmakers Create and Share.
Thank you so much for stopping by and I wish you all a very happy week. Check out all the inspiration from the DT over on the Daring Cardmakers blog https://daringcardmakers.blogspot.com

Picture Perfect - Daring Cardmakers Challenge

Good morning and welcome back to my blog.

Its Friday and time for a new challenge and this week DT member Miri would like to see some Picture-Perfect cards.

You can use a photo camera, a picture frame, a photograph, a Polaroid, anything picture/photo related on your cards.

I decided create a photo album in the shape of a camera. I cut an A4 sheet of  card in half length-ways and then in half again. This gave me four pieces of  card from one sheet, I did this with two sheets giving me eight base cards. Using the We R Memory Keepers 123 punch board I created the tab at the top of each one, to create the shape of a camera. I repeated this for the patterned papers and then matted them onto each individual base card.

I then decorated the front to give it a camera look for this I used mirri card and a small wooden heart for the view finder and epoxy stickers for the buttons. For the lens I cut a couple of circles and added a punched heart  for the centre and finished it off with a smile word sticker. You could add a photo in place of the heart to give it a personal touch.

I punched two holes on one side of all the camera pages using my crop-a-dile and added two metal rings so if I wanted to I could add more pages to the album. I then threaded some ribbon through the rings as a camera strap.
I used bright coloured papers for all the pages to give it a fun and fresh look. I loved creating this project and I'm looking forward to adding photos to this mini album.

I really hope you enjoyed your visit here today and are inspired to create something beautiful.

Peek-A-Boo! Daring Cardmakers Challenge

Good Morning and Happy Friday!
Welcome back to my blog for another new Daring Cardmakers Challenge. This weeks challenge is set by DT member Nat and its called:

PEEK-A-BOO!

You can add a surprise element, a secret message on a pull tab, an interactive card, a pop up card or an aperture. There are lots of different ideas of creating a surprise element to your projects and cards.

I decided to create a Peek-a -Boo card. This card looks complicated but was fairly simple and so much fun to make. After I had cut the main components of my card I started to assemble it.

I stamped and coloured two bird stamps from one of Aallandcreate stamp sets by Janet Klein. I then placed my two images within the circle apertures. I added sentiments to the front and on the inside of the card.

This cards peek-a-boo element lets you show one image when the card is closed and another when its opened. Such a fun challenge can't wait to see what you create.

I really hope you enjoyed your visit here today and are inspired to create something beautiful.

August Elemental Inspiration Challenge

Hello and welcome back to my blog. What glorious weather we are having today! I hope you are making the most of this sunny day.
Today is the first Friday of the month and this means its the August Elemental Inspiration Challenge. This week Joanne has set this lovely mood-board, all you have to do is pick three elements. I chose colours, fern and words, remember colours count as one element.

I have created a CAS (clean and simple) card using three elements from this months mood board. I started off with this pretty foiled paper which I adhered to my base card. As there is a lot of foil and shimmer I decided to tone it down a little by adding some vellum. I tore the edges by hand then added my three fern leaves on top this made them more visible on top of the vellum otherwise they would have just disappeared into the background. To finish it off I added a sentiment.

I've really enjoyed creating my card using elements from the mood board. All you have to do is choose any three elements and create your card.Show us some of your creations and don't forget to share on the Daring Cardmakers blog or our Facebook page Daring Cardmakers Create and Share.

I hope you like my take on the Daring Cardmakers challenge and are inspired to create something beautiful.
