Boxes and Bags-Daring Cardmakers Challenge

Hello and welcome back to my blog!

Continuing with our countdown to Christmas, this week we are asking you to create boxes or bags for those extra special gifts. I love gift wrapping, creating boxes, bags and envelope wraps.  You can really make those small gifts look really special with a handmade bag or box.
I wanted to create something for my crafty friends. I decided to create an Envelope Gift Wrap with pockets, so that there was enough space to fill them with crafty goodies. Using my envelop punch board I created two envelopes and attached them together. The outer flap is glued to the back and the inner flap is left and cut down to form a hinge. I added another pocket to the hinge in the middle.

I decorated the pocket with a die cut snowflake and added an insert.

I created a small envelope out of vellum using the envelope punch board. I wanted the wooden embellishment to show through.

I filled the pockets with small crafty gifts like stamps and small dies.

Once the pockets were full I added a ribbon closure and there you have it an Envelope Gift Wrap.

I hope you enjoyed my take on this weeks challenge. Show us some of your creations and don't forget to share on the Daring Cardmakers blog or our Facebook page Daring Cardmakers Create and Share.

All Dressed Up- Daring Cardmakers Challenge

Hello and welcome back to my blog.
I'm back with another Daring Cardmakers Challenge, this weeks challenge is called:

All Dressed Up

We would like to see cards with jumpers, mittens, boots, hats or scarves.... or if you are lucky enough to be somewhere warm this Christmas then maybe you'll be thinking Christmas t-shirts, flipflops or beachwear..... it's up to you.

I created my card using Hello Winter papers by Bee Shabby. I loved the knitted background which I used as my first layer and then added another snowflake layer. I then fussy cut the mittens and the tag from the paper embellishment sheet. I cut a length of string and tied each mitten to each end. I added a tag with a sentiment and tied a bow using the length of the string in the middle. To finish it off I added some glitter to the cuffs of the mittens.

I do hope you join in our countdown to Christmas challenges. There will be cards, papercraft projects and lots of other ideas too.

I hope you enjoyed my take on this weeks challenge. Show us some of your creations and don't forget to share on the Daring Cardmakers blog or our Facebook page Daring Cardmakers Create and Share.

Thank you so much for stopping by and I wish you all a very happy weekend. Check out all the inspiration from the DT over on the Daring Cardmakers blog https://daringcardmakers.blogspot.com

November Elemental Inspiration Challenge

Good Morning and welcome back to my blog.

It's the first Friday of the month and this means that its the November Elemental Inspiration Challenge.  This month we are kicking off our Countdown to Christmas with a mood-board with lots of ideas for you to choose from. Remember, you just need to pick a minimum of 3 elements from the picture to use when making your card, colours count as one element.

I chose snowflakes, trees, colours and words for my card. I decided to create a tunnel card. I die cut circles from three layers of card using three different sized dies. I then added
patterned paper and a die cut border of trees. I adhered each layer and added a sparkly snowflake between one of the layers. Before I added the top layer I stamped some snowflakes and a sentiment and glued white gems to the centres of some of them. To finish it off I added stickles to the edges of the circles and the trees.

I do hope you join in our countdown to Christmas challenges there will be cards and papercraft projects and lots of other ideas too.

I hope you enjoyed my take on this weeks challenge. Show us some of your creations and don't forget to share on the Daring Cardmakers blog or our Facebook page Daring Cardmakers Create and Share.
