Recycled - Daring Cardmakers Challenge

Hello and welcome to my blog!
Today I'm back with another Daring Cardmakers Challenge and this weeks challenge is set by Ruth and its called;

"Recycled"

I love to recycle and give things a new life. Parcels, packaging, tubes, corrugated card and even the fancy paper and acetate my bunch of flowers come in. For this weeks challenge I created a concertina album which is made from a box my lenses come in.

I opened out the box and measured and cut two pieces for my book covers. I then adhered two of the larger flaps together so that there was a spine on both sides and covered it with patterened paper. Then using Kraft card I created a concertina and attached that to the middle of the cover. This was then decorated and I added tags to each pocket.

 I added pockets and tags on the inside of  both outer covers.

The concertina folds and sits nicely in the middle of the book.

 This is what it looks like opened out showing all the beautiful papers.

I hope you like my take on the Daring Cardmakers challenge and are inspired to join in the fun.
Thank you so much for stopping by I wish you all a happy weekend with lots of luck.

Floral Focus - Daring Cardmakers Challenge

Hello and welcome back to my blog.
I hope you are keeping well and safe. Things have moved pretty fast this past week and these really are testing times. If you are feeling a bit down, this weeks challenge will surely cheer you up. It is set by DT member Nat and its called:

Flowers Front and Centre

I created my card using an Aall and Create stamp set by Olga Heldwein (Blooming Field #229). I stamped second generation images of the large flower to create a background. This gave it a softer look. Then I stamped and coloured one of the flowers and layered it on top of the middle flower and added some stickles to the centre.
The sentiment reads "There's a moment of joy in every day". I chose this so we can take the time to stop and reflect on the good things that are happening around us.
I would love to see some flowers on your cards whether they are backgrounds, big and bold blooms or dimensional flowers. Lets all brighten up someones day. Don't forget to share your makes with us on the blog or our Facebook page- Daring Cardmakers Create and Share.

I hope you like my take on the Daring Cardmakers challenge and are inspired to join in the fun.
Thank you so much for stopping by I wish you all a happy weekend with lots of luck.

Lucky for Some - Daring Cardmarkers Challenge

Hello and welcome back to my blog for another Daring Cardmakers Challenge.
This weeks challenge is set by DT member Joanne and it's called;

"Lucky For Some"

I know what you're thinking it's Friday 13th and full of bad luck but if we create lots of cards with lucky symbols surely we can make it a lucky day.
I decided to create a card for St. Patricks Day which also falls this coming week so we will have lots of Irish luck.

I created a background using a stencil and some oxides. I coloured the digi stamps and fussy cut the character, clovers and sentiments from Vera Lane Studio.
I just love this cute and quirky character and I had such fun colouring it too. I framed one of the sentiments with a stamp set from Aall and Create called "Frame It" #282 by Tracy Evans.
I would love to see some Lucky Symbols on your cards don't forget to share your makes with us on the blog or our Facebook page.

I hope you like my take on the Daring Cardmakers challenge and are inspired to join in the fun.
Thank you so much for stopping by I wish you all a happy weekend with lots of luck.

DCM MARCH ELEMENTAL CHALLENGE

Hello and welcome to my blog.

It's the 1st Friday of the month, which means its the March Elemental Challenge over at the Daring Cardmakers Blog. The challenge is to choose three or more elements from the inspiration picture.
I chose the striped colours, floral spray, beads and words.

So I created my card with a striped background, using similar colours from my oxide inks and a stencil. I then stamped a floral spray image and wrapped some gold thread with colourful beads. A printed sentiment was added with foam pads to give it dimension.
Please do join in the challenge and choose any three elements to create your card. Here are a few examples to get you started- colour, typewriter, succulents, octopus, beads.... etc.

I hope you like my take on the Daring Cardmakers challenge and are inspired to create something beautiful.
Thank you so much for stopping by I wish you all a happy weekend. Check out all the inspiration from the DT over on the Daring Cardmakers blog https://daringcardmakers.blogspot.com
