Layer It Up - Daring Cardmakers Challenge

Hello and welcome to another Daring Cardmakers Challenge.
This week's challenge is called:

                                              Layer It Up

I decided to create a card by layering 3 colours of oxide inks and letting them dry. I stamped the rose and masked it to add the leaves. Using alcohol markers, I began to layer more colours in the stamped images. To give more depth and colour, I used colouring pencils to enhance the shape of the petals. I finished it off by adding stickles (glitter sparkle) to the image and a die-cut sentiment from white glitter card and lay it across my rose.

I hope you like my take on the Daring Cardmakers challenge and are inspired to join in the fun.

Cheer Someone Up- Daring Card Markers Challenge

Good Morning !

Welcome to another Daring Cardmakers Challenge. This week we are challenging you to create a card to 'Cheer Someone Up'. This could be for anyone who has had a tough time lately or feeling under the weather.

I've created my card for a close friend who has been through some tough times. So to cheer her up I wanted her to know that she is loved and things will get better.
For my card I painted a background with paints and used various stamps and stencils in the background to create interest. To make the colours pop I used some white paint and added some marks using an old credit card. Once dry I die cut a circle from the painted piece and adhered it to my card. Then I added two die cut floral stems from white glitter card and finished it off with a sentiment.I love how this turned out and can't wait to post it.

I hope you like my take on the Daring Cardmakers challenge and are inspired to join in the fun.

Something New- Daring Cardmakers Challenge

Hello and welcome back to my blog for another Daring Cardmakers Challenge.

This weeks challenge is about 'Something New' and I definitely have something new to share with you all today. I am super excited to announce that I have been asked to join the Daring Cardmakers Design Team. I have been a Guest  Designer for the last three months and have truly enjoyed all the challenges. I'm really looking forward to my new role as a Design Team Member.

For the challenge I decided to create some New Baby cards as it seems to be baby season. We have had a few new additions in our extended family and friends.

I stamped and coloured the zebra from the 'p.s I love you' stamp set by Tracey Hey. I fussy cut the image ready to attach to my cards. Then using patterned papers and alphabet dies I created two baby cards one for a boy and the other for a girl.
I hope you like my take on the Daring Cardmakers challenge and are inspired to create something new. It can be anything New, new house, new job, new year, new baby or new things.

DCM January Elemental Challenge Feeling Blue Guest Designer

Hello and a very Happy New Year to you all!

Welcome back to our very first DCM challenge of 2020. This weeks Elemental Challenge is called 'Feeling Blue'. We are celebrating The Pantone 2020 colour of the year which is 'Classic Blue'.
The Challenge is to use three or more elements from the inspiration picture.

I chose the colour blue, moroccan tiles, a vase and flowers. I layered the dark blue moroccan die cut to a lighter blue and adhered them on to my card base. I stamped and coloured the vase and flowers and then fussy cut all the images. Then I arranged them onto the background and added a label with a sentiment.
This is a really fun challenge to do and I hope you can join in too.

I hope you like my take on the Daring Cardmakers challenge and are inspired to create something beautiful.
